Shameless Promotion of Love Starts With Elle

Rachel Hauck's newest bookToday on MyBookTherapy, Rachel Hauck will shamelessly promote her newest release, “Love Starts With Elle,” coming July 8, 2008 from Thomas Nelson.

“Hauck is quickly making a name for herself as an insightful and thoughtful author. Elle is vulnerable, yet wise, and the romantic angle will leave you sighing with delight.”

Here’s a bit about the book.

Elle’s living the dream – but is it her dream or his?

Elle loves life in Beaufort, South Carolina – lazy summer days on the sand bar, coastal bonfires and dinner with friends sharing a lifetime of memories. And she’s found her niche as the owner of a successful art gallery too. Life is good.
Then the dynamic pastor of her small town church sweeps her off her feet. She’s never known a man like Jeremiah – one who breathes in confidence and exhales all doubt. When he proposes in the setting sunlight, Elle hands him her heart on a silver platter. (note: the cliche here is not mine, but the breathe in confidence, exhale all doubt is.. 🙂
But Jeremiah’s just accepted a large pastorate in a different state. If she’s serious about their relationship, Elle will take “the call,” too, leaving behind the people and place she love so dearly. Elle’s friendship with her new tenant, widower Heath McCord, and his young daughter make things complicated.
Is love transferrable across the miles? And can you take it with you when you go?
A heartwarming romance from acclaimed novelist Rachel Hauck. (heee, I’m acclaimed…)
Thoughts from Rachel:
I loved writing this story. It was hard because I switched from first person, present tense to third person past tense, and added the POV of the hero, but I managed to get the tone and flow of the story into the book as it lived in my head.
I’d love another pass at it though. Ha! Just this morning I had an “Elle epiphany.”
Elle Garvey was a lively, fun character I created in “Sweet Caroline.” She came with her own set of bangle bracelets and cheerleader persona, but I had to dig deep to find the core of her heart. She has a great serious side, and while weak at times, also shows great strength.
I think readers will really love Elle, and enjoying spending time with her. Heath, the hero is also an intriguing person. I loved him as much as Elle.
So, there you go, my shameless promotion of Love Starts With Elle. Run out and get your copy today!
