Should You Blog as An Author?

There’s an idea that blogging is old-fashioned and that readers don’t read blogs anymore, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, content marketing through blogging is still one of the best ways to get your writing noticed. For authors, blogging can be a great opportunity to showcase their writing and reach new readers. Not only does blogging give you a chance to get your work seen, but it also gives you an opportunity to build relationships within the literary community. Blogging can also help you find new sources of writing inspiration and guidance for your work. Anything that increases your web presence is a good thing, and blogging as an author provides many benefits. As an author, you have a lot of opportunities to share your work with others. Blog posts are one of the most popular ways to do this.

The Benefits of Blogging

Blogging is a great way to create engaging, creative content, and can be an effective part of your content marketing strategy. There are many benefits to blogging, including increased visibility, improved SEO (search engine optimization), and a platform to showcase your writing talents. Increased visibility is essential in today’s digital world, and blogging can help you reach new audiences. SEO is also improved by blogging, as it helps search engines find and rank your website content more easily. Additionally, blogging provides a platform for you to display your writing skills and demonstrate your expertise in the field. Blogging also gives you a great opportunity for inspiration, as you can explore different topics and angles that can help you create interesting content.

Different Types of Blog Posts

Are you looking for new blog post ideas? Writing blogs can be tricky, but with a little creativity, you can come up with some truly unique topic ideas. There are various types of blog posts that you can create, each with their own style and purpose. Educating readers on a specific topic is a great way to create informational blog posts. If you’re looking for writing inspiration, consider writing opinion pieces and reviews. You can also share your experiences through personal essays and stories. Creative posts such as poems and artwork can add a unique touch to your blog. You can also provide helpful advice to readers through how-to guides and tutorials. Whatever type of blog post you choose, remember to focus on providing quality content that will engage and inform your audience.

How to Choose the Right Topic for Your Blog Post

Writing a blog post can be daunting, especially when it comes to choosing the right topic. Picking a topic that resonates with your readers is key. Before you start writing, here are some tips for selecting a topic for your blog post. First, consider the purpose of your blog post. Is it informative, entertaining, or educational? Knowing the purpose of your post will help you choose a topic that is relevant and engaging. Next, think about what topics your readers may be interested in. Do research to see what topics are trending in your genre, and use this as inspiration for your blog post. You can also look to see which topics have been successful for other blogs in your niche. Additionally, try to come up with some unique blog post ideas that are different from what other bloggers are writing about.

One way I come up with blog post ideas is to just relax and brainstorm. I keep a list and just occasionally do a brain dump. When I’m needing inspiration, I’ll go through that list and remember what blog posts I thought of when I created it.

I’ve also gone into my blogging platform and just done a few quick blog titles with slight outlines – enough to remind myself what I was thinking about when I get back to it.

Be Yourself

Letting your readers get to know you through your blog can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Embracing your unique voice and writing style is the best way to make yourself stand out. Being true to your voice can help you create more creative content and stay inspired. It can also help build an audience that is genuinely interested in what you have to say, as they will be able to connect with you on a personal level. Additionally, it can give your blog a more human touch and make it more relatable to readers. If you find yourself feeling stuck or uninspired when writing, be sure to take a step back and think about how you want to present yourself on your blog. Letting your personality shine through your work is key to creating content that will capture the hearts and minds of your readers.

Honor Bound

It may seem odd to seek peace by moving to a war-torn African country, but for medical missionary Dr. Cynthia Myers, it provided a way to escape a shallow life of unearned wealth, a philandering fiancé, and a father now square in the public eye as Vice President of the United States. At least here she knows her work and life have meaning. But all that is thrown into chaos when she fails to save the life of a local warlord’s mortally wounded son.

As part of the Army Special Forces “A-team” on a mission to capture and subdue the warlord dispatched to extract Cynthia’s team, Captain Rick Norton is compelled to use deadly force to save Cynthia’s life. Enraged at the violence she witnessed and riddled with guilt that men died because of her, Cynthia tries to hold onto her anger—but an unwanted attraction is taking hold.

With two members of his team badly injured and rebels in hot pursuit, Rick will have to draw upon all of his strength and cunning to get her out alive . . . because he’s beginning to think they just might overcome their differences and be able to make a life together.
