Howdy Folks! In the heat and passion of MBT WriMo, the Fraiser contest seems a little far away and forgotten. Today though, we are going to take a look at one of the people who made it possible. Introducing Carrie Turansky and her new book Snowflake Sweethearts.
Q. Carrie, can you tell us a little bit about your book?
A. In Snowflake Sweethearts – Travel back to Fairhaven, Washington, with single mom and personal chef Annie Romano. Annie has never forgotten the man she secretly loved as a teenager, and when he asks her to be the live-in caretaker for his ailing grandmother, she changes her career plans and agrees. As the holiday season approaches Alex’s grandmother, her matchmaking friends and one fatherless little girl are soon pulling at Annie’s and Alex’s heartstrings . . . just in time for a very special Christmas. I hope readers will enjoy this third and final book in the Bayside Treasure Series.
Q. What is your favorite scene in the book?
A. My favorite Scene in Snowflakes Sweethearts takes place on Thanksgiving when the hero and heroine work together in the kitchen to prepare the meal. There is something very romantic about a man who pitches in to help like that, and there was some serious flirting going on while they make a Seven-Layer Salad, which is a family holiday favorite at our house. This scene includes their first kiss, and reminds me of all the fun family times we’ve shared at our house during the holidays.
Q. What is next in your writing?
A. I am writing a three-book historical romance series for Waterbrook Multnomah set in England, 1910 through World War 1. The first book is titled The Governess of Highland Hall and releases in October 2013. I’ve loved researching the Edwardian time period, and my husband and I even took a trip to England last summer to see the homes and beautiful countryside for ourselves. When people ask me to describe the Governess of Highland Hall, I say it’s like Downton Abbey meets Jane Eyre with a little Sound of Music thrown in. I feel like it’s my best writing yet, and I am excited to share it with my readers!

I went to college for 3 years in Bellingham, WA, next to even more interesting Fairhaven. I’ll make sure I get this book and read.
